Boosting Communications Signals
We design, install, maintain and certify Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to amplify radio frequency and cellular signal inside large buildings and facilities as well as sprawling campus environments. Equipping properties with a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) provides wireless coverage in every building, meeting the needs of tenants, management, large meeting and conference attendees, employees, contractors and visitors.
Helping You Understand the Codes
Navigating fire code requirements to be compliant can easily become overwhelming. Having a partner that understands local fire codes is imperative, since each jurisdiction and municipality vary in their required ordinances and statutes. Most local jurisdictions will enforce amended versions or use different codebooks. XMARK stays up to date on all these changes. We have long-term relationships with many of the AHJs (such as your local fire marshal) and understand specifically how they are interpreting code compliance. Leverage our DAS experts to help you.
System Design
If a DAS system is required due to failing signal coverage, XMARK will design a solution based on your specific needs and budget that complies with NFPA 72, NFPA 1221 and IFC 510 DAS fire codes for Emergency Responder Radio Coverage Systems (ERCES). Once the site survey and DAS design have been completed, we will submit the full design package to the local AHJ for their approval.
Installation
After local AHJ approval, our professional team of integrators will utilize a meticulous site survey and iBwave RF DAS design to expertly install every element of your DAS system. During an emergency, first responders depend on frequencies that these systems utilize that are regulated by the FCC. XMARK has designed, installed and maintained P25 communication systems for first responders for decades.
Commissioning
Once the system is fully installed, a performance verification will be tested by our FCC-certified technicians. After testing, we coordinate with the radio system owner and verify with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) that the system is operating as it should (turn-up system). Once the new system is approved by the AHJ, the building will be ready to receive its temporary certificate of occupancy (acceptance). To ensure long-term stability of your new DAS, our technical staff will program it to run in a state that is not taxing on the equipment. Our engineering team provides the expertise needed to keep your system on-air for the long term.
